GranovaQ
01 · Our Story2026

From graphene technology,

the next material.

Graphene Quantum Dot Materials.

GranovaQ® is a graphene materials brand from J.C. Technology Co., Ltd. Built on graphene, an advanced material made of carbon, it offers three material lines that apply and extend graphene's properties. They are used across fields close to everyday life, including textiles, beauty and personal care.

Ch.0102 / What is graphene ─ Discovery

A honeycomb sheet of carbon atoms.

Graphene is a sheet of carbon atoms arranged in a honeycomb pattern, just one atom thick. It is light, strong and flexible, and conducts heat and electricity extremely well, which is why researchers worldwide see it as a next-generation material.

In 2004, Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov at the University of Manchester, UK, first isolated single-layer graphene from graphite. The work earned them the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2010.

Graphene is a single structure made only of carbon. GranovaQ materials are made by a physical process, with no chemical additives and no metals.

Ch.0406 / What's next

Next chapter: beyond Japan.

We are taking graphene quantum dots (GQD) into more everyday products. Built around five functions of the material as marketed in Japan — antibacterial and odor-resistant, antiviral, anti-mite, anti-mold and far-infrared emission — we are expanding the industries and regions that use it.

The functions above describe the material itself, as marketed in Japan. They are not claims that any product protects people from bacteria, viruses or disease. Claims that may be made for products sold outside Japan depend on local regulations (for example, the U.S. EPA and the EU Biocidal Products Regulation). Please consult us for each market.

How can a material brand be useful in everyday products? GranovaQ answers through material development and close work with the brands that adopt it.

Along the way, we will grow the GranovaQ Inside mark as a clear signal of the material inside.

  1. Phase 1

    2026 — 2027

    Launch of the Inside Program

Expanding adoption across six industries: cosmetics, apparel, bedding, sports, textiles used in care settings, and OEM/private label. The core is the five functions of the material, as marketed in Japan.

  2. Phase 2

    2027 — 2029

    International expansion

Launch of the English website and market testing in Europe and the United States.

* Plans may change with market conditions. Updates are posted on our News page.

— Inside Program

What's insidespeaks up.

GranovaQ is a material brand. The Inside Program is a co-branding licensing program that lets brands using the material show it on their products. The mark is awarded by J.C. Technology, the maker of GranovaQ, not by an independent third party.
