What is GranovaQ® Inside?
The GranovaQ Inside mark is not a label anyone can use. It is a co-branding license granted only for material that passes four checks: genuine material, specified loading, quality control and audit. This page explains, in plain words, what the mark stands for.

What the mark stands for.
Every product with the GranovaQ Inside mark has met four commitments. They cover what you cannot see on the surface of a product, and that is exactly why they matter to the brands that choose them.

Genuine material
Only products made with genuine GranovaQ material, blended by the specified method. The functions a product may state are limited to those that apply to it among the five functions of the material as marketed in Japan: antibacterial and odor-resistant, antiviral, anti-mite, anti-mold and far-infrared emission.

Specified loading
Only products that meet the loading we set for each industry and application. We do not allow a trace amount of material to be used as the basis for functional claims.

Quality control
Only products that meet our quality-control criteria. GQD is blended into the material rather than applied as a surface finish, so it does not leach out, and the effect is long-lasting and resistant to washing.

Annual audit
After qualification, we review loading and quality control every year. Any significant change to the formulation requires requalification. Inside is not a sticker you earn once; it is an ongoing commitment to quality.
The functions above describe the material itself, as marketed in Japan. They are not claims that any product protects people from bacteria, viruses or disease. Claims that may be made for products sold outside Japan depend on local regulations (for example, the U.S. EPA and the EU Biocidal Products Regulation). Please consult us for each market. GranovaQ Inside is a licensing program run by J.C. Technology Co., Ltd., the maker of GranovaQ. The mark is awarded by J.C. Technology, not by an independent third party, and refers only to the material: genuine GranovaQ, specified loading, quality control and annual audit.

Where you will see it.
Packaging
Cosmetic boxes and bottles, garment tags, bedding ticking. The Inside lockup appears quietly but clearly.
Online product pages
In product images and descriptions on online stores and brand websites. We plan to make products with the GranovaQ Inside mark filterable in product search (from 2027).
In-store displays
In department stores and specialty shops, as a marker for Inside-qualified brand corners, rolled out through joint promotions.

Common questions about GranovaQ Inside.
- Q. What does the GranovaQ Inside mark stand for?
- A. It stands for four things: the product uses genuine GranovaQ material; it is used at the specified loading; production meets our quality-control criteria; and the brand is audited every year. GranovaQ is made by a purely physical process, with no chemical additives and no metals. The mark refers to the material and its quality control. It is not a safety or health assurance, and it does not mean the product protects anyone. The mark is awarded by J.C. Technology, the maker of GranovaQ, not by an independent third party.
- Q. Why don't some products say "antibacterial" or "antiviral"?
- A. Depending on the product type and the market, wording such as "antibacterial" or "antiviral" is restricted by regulation, in Japan and elsewhere. Inside-qualified products describe functions only within what the applicable rules allow. Products that do not state functions can still show "GranovaQ Inside" to make their material choice visible.
- Q. How is it different from other material brands?
- A. GranovaQ comes from our R&D and manufacturing site in China. It is made by a purely physical process and is protected by 21 patents. It has been offered in Japan through J.C. Technology since 2026. What sits behind the mark is different from other material brands.

- A. Products will be listed in turn, starting with the first Inside-qualified brands after Phase 1B (the first cosmetics launches, early 2027). The Find Products page will let you search by industry and by everyday need.
