They describe the material itself, as marketed in Japan. They are not claims that any product protects people from bacteria, viruses or disease. Claims that may be made for products sold outside Japan depend on local regulations (for example, the U.S. EPA and the EU Biocidal Products Regulation). Please consult us for each market.

- Q. How does the general medical device notification for recovery wear come in?
- A. Two products (Under Recovery Wear DK / BT) are currently notified in Japan as general medical devices. A new brand can either use these notified products or file its own notification in Japan. This status applies in Japan only; outside Japan, requirements depend on local regulations — please consult us.
- Q. Tell us about your work with the fishing-tackle maker.
- A. The material is used in a private-label (OEM) cold-weather skirt for fishing. Details can be shared after an NDA through Apply for Inside.
- Q. Can it be used for hiking and trail-running products?
- A. Yes. The combination of antibacterial and anti-mold functions, as marketed in Japan, with resistance to washing suits base layers for hiking and trail running.
- Q. Can it be added to fibers a maker already has?
- A. Inside qualification requires the material to be added at spinning, so we work with the yarn maker. Please contact us through Apply for Inside.
